HITA Press Conference | Defending Arizona’s Legal Hemp Industry

On April 30, 2025, the Hemp Industry Trade Association of Arizona (HITA) held a press conference announcing legal action against the Attorney General and county officials for their unlawful enforcement raids on licensed hemp businesses. These actions threaten an entire sector of Arizona's economy—one built by farmers, veterans, healthcare professionals, and small business owners operating under existing law.

Speakers shared personal stories and legal insights, highlighting the human and financial cost of these politically motivated raids. Instead of working with the industry to establish clear and consistent regulation, the AG’s office has chosen to waste taxpayer resources and undermine lawful businesses—favoring select industries while criminalizing others. Arizona doesn’t need more chaos; it needs a regulatory framework that protects consumers, supports innovation, and allows the hemp industry to thrive responsibly.
